Privacy
Your privacy is part of the product. Rejections stay private, and your profile visibility controls who can see your photos and details.
What we store
Your email address, your profile details (including your Second Life names, age, location, about you and interests), your photos, your balloon choices, your matches, and any message you send us through the contact form.
What other members can see
Your profile and photos, subject to your visibility setting. Members can never see who popped their balloon, and they can never see your email address.
Photos
Profile photos are securely stored and displayed to people permitted by your profile visibility setting, including eligible members in Discover.
Second Life
We do not connect to your Second Life account, and no private Second Life data is accessed or displayed.
Contact messages
Messages sent through the contact form are stored securely so the support team can track them to resolution, and a copy is forwarded to the official support inbox.
Business and sponsorship inquiries
Business proposals and the contact details supplied with them are stored securely for the owner to review and manage. Private notes, follow-up records, assigned contacts and commercial details are visible only to the Super Admin and are not published or shown to the person who submitted the inquiry.
Account activity
For signed-in members, we record your display name with each website visit's start time, last check-in and approximate active time. Active time is counted in one-minute steps while your tab is visible and you have interacted within the previous five minutes; a recent check-in may indicate you are currently active, but it does not prove you are still looking at the site. Only the Owner can view the member activity statistics; your own visit records may also be available to you. We delete these visit records after 13 months.
Anonymous site visits
We count visits as browser-tab sessions, not unique people. For each page view, we record the page path without search terms, device type (phone, tablet or desktop), referring website name when available, a random per-tab session code and the time. A new session begins after 30 minutes without a page view. This site-visit counter does not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, cookies or precise location, and anonymous visits are not matched to member accounts. Only the Owner can view these site statistics. We delete page-view records after 13 months.
How you found us
When you set up your profile we ask how you heard about Pop The Balloon or Find Love SL, and who referred you if a member did. We use this to understand where members come from and to credit referrals. It is never shown to other members.
Audience reports
We may share aggregated, anonymised audience statistics — such as age bands, gender, country and activity totals — with advertisers or sponsors. These reports never contain names, Second Life names, email addresses, profiles, messages, matches, balloon decisions or any other information that could identify you.
Your control
You can edit or remove your profile details and photos at any time, and you can ask for your account to be deleted by contacting support.
